Our doctoral thesis in the University of Aveiro (UA) Study how to use the Generative AI and active methodologies (strategic roleplay and evidence-based coaching) to Improving decision-making in innovation contexts . The practical goal is clear: to turn scattered information into fast, coherent and measurable executive decisions in the day-to-day life of Proportione and our customers.
What we investigate
- AI as an intellectual co-pilot : how to integrate ChatGPT and related tools into real analysis and decision-making processes without losing rigor or human judgment.
- Roleplay of crises and binary dilemmas : simulations with executive roles (e.g., Innovation Manager) to train criteria under pressure and with incomplete information.
- Coaching applied to leadership : conversational frameworks (GROW, phenomenological listening, maieutical questions) to accelerate learning and team alignment.
Results we are already seeing
- More strategic coherence in responses and decisions, with better use of case data and theoretical frameworks.
- Reinforced critical thinking : Teams learn to question, contrast, and refine AI outputs before deciding.
- Increased engagement and responsible digital literacy : from "fear of AI" to "conscious and useful use" in a few weeks.
How it translates into Proportione's day-to-day work
- Model 20–60–20 in projects: 20% human framing (objectives and constraints), 60% co-development with AI (drafts, scenarios, hypotheses), 20% human critical closure (validation, decisions, communication). Result: faster deliverables with better reasoning trails.
- Decision workshops with roleplay: we simulate brand crisis, portfolio prioritization or digital investment allocation; We measure the quality and speed of decisions.
- Coaching for management and managers : Structured conversations that transform metrics into action agreements, with business impact tracking.
